Assignment Highlights
Highlights of Photographing 25 Headshots at Fisher Investments
I had the pleasure of photographing the team at Fisher Investments. The assignment was ambitious: capture 25 professional headshots in under two hours. With careful planning, efficiency, and teamwork, we pulled it off seamlessly.
The key to success was preparation. Before the session, I coordinated with the client to secure the best space for lighting and background, ensuring everything was set up before the first subject walked in. This allowed us to move quickly while maintaining consistent, high-quality results.
Each individual had only a few minutes in front of the camera, so it was important to create a relaxed atmosphere, give clear direction, and bring out genuine expressions in a short amount of time. It’s always rewarding to see people walk away feeling confident about their new headshot.
The team at Fisher Investments was professional, organized, and a pleasure to photograph. By the end of the session, we had a collection of polished, consistent portraits that showcased the company’s culture and professionalism—delivered on time and without stress.
Projects like this remind me why I love specializing in corporate headshots: efficiency, teamwork, and helping professionals look their very best.
Assignment Challenges
Challenges of Photographing 25 Headshots at Fisher Investments in Less Than 2 Hours
Photographing 25 professional headshots in under two hours is no small task, and my recent session with Fisher Investments was a perfect example of how preparation, adaptability, and teamwork are critical for success.
The first challenge was time management. With less than five minutes per person, I had to balance efficiency with quality. That meant setting up the lights, background, and camera gear in advance so I could focus entirely on coaching each subject when they stepped in front of the lens.
Another challenge was consistency. With so many people coming in one after another, it was crucial to maintain the same lighting, composition, and style across every headshot. Even the smallest adjustments—someone’s height, posture, or wardrobe—had to be handled quickly but carefully to keep the overall look uniform.
Finally, there’s the human factor. Some people are completely at ease in front of the camera, while others feel nervous the second the lights come on. In such a fast-paced environment, I had to quickly build rapport, give clear direction, and capture a confident expression in just a couple of minutes.
